Events

Throughout the year, the Grace Jones Community Day Care Center produces or benefits from a number of community events that mostly serve to help us meet the costs of providing award winning day care services to the families of the Florida Keys.  One annual event you surely don’t want to miss is Marathon’s Annual “National Pig Days” scheduled for February 25-27, 2011.

Please stay tuned to this section for more information about occasional events as they are scheduled.

National Pig Days - February 25-27, 2011:

For over a quarter century, the Stuffed Pig Restaurant has been Marathon’s favorite place for gossip, great food, and legendary service by its friendly staff. Along with locals, the “Pig” counts loyal customers from all fifty states and even from around the world. In addition to mouth-watering breakfasts and lunches, the Stuffed Pig caters events and even weddings up to 300 guests. With its spectacular new Tiki Hut surrounded by a beautiful garden setting, its no wonder the lines form each day in front of this Florida Keys icon. Owners Karen Dennis and Mike Cinque are two of Marathon’s biggest supporters of effective charities in the Keys.  Last year (2010), the Stuffed Pig Restaraunt's second annual National Pig Days was proud to support the Grace Jones Community Center as it wrapped up a grueling 5-year campaign to rebuild our school, destroyed by Hurricane Wilma in 2005.

We look forward to the upcoming third annual National Pig Days and hope to see you there!
